| An
unforgettable evening at the Imperial Ancestral Temple
(Tai Miao)
Tuesday 30 May 2006, at 19.00
Dress code: Business suit
Transportation by bus will be organized from and back
to the China World Hotel.
All BIR registered delegates, guests, and accompanying
persons (spouses) will be invited to an exceptional
evening event on Tuesday, 30 May 2006, in the courtyard
of the Imperial Ancestral Temple
as from 19.00. Delicious Chinese food in abundance and
a stunning show of a variety of performances in a breathtaking
setting will make this event an absolutely unforgettable
experience.
The Imperial Ancestral Temple was built in 1420 under
the Ming dynasty and is located just southeast of the
Forbidden City. This ornate temple complex stuns the
eye and the senses with an atmosphere that can best
be described as somewhat unreal, beyond time and history.
After the Communist takeover, it was converted into
the "Working Peoples' Cultural Palace," where
operas and other events are held.
For information on sponsorship opportunities related
to this event, please visit the website www.bir.org
In case of bad weather, the festivities will take place
in the Ballroom of the famous Beijing Hotel, an intriguing
mixture of Art Nouveau and oriental grandeur build in
1900. It was and still is the official hotel of international
government representatives and leaders during their
visits to Beijing.
This evening is included in the delegate's registration
fee.
Additional tickets will be for sale on the day of the
event, depending on space availability.
